DAY6 member Young K will release his first mini album "Eternal" on September 6 and debut as a solo artist.

Young K made his debut with the band DAY6 in September 2015, showing off his exceptional vocal and instrumental skills, as well as his deep musicality and special sensitivity by consistently writing and composing for each album. In addition to working on the group's representative songs such as "Congratulations," "Pretty," "So I Can Be a Page," and "Zombie," Young K also proved his outstanding qualities as a singer-songwriter by appearing in all song credits on the two mini-albums of DAY6's first unit DAY6 (Even of Day) with Wonpil and Doon from August 2020. In September 2021, Young K finally made his debut as a solo artist, releasing an album that compiles his entire musical history and showcases his true colors as a singer-songwriter.

Young K wrote and composed the entirety of his first mini album 'Eternal' and conceived the album's direction and name himself, resulting in a more 'Young K-esque' outcome. He named the new album with the English word meaning 'eternity', inspired by his real name, Kang Young Hyun, and added authenticity by sincerely reflecting the inner worries and stories of the human Kang Young Hyun. In particular, he expressed his sincere desire to 'sing forever' for his fans who show him infinite love and support.

The title track, "I'll Hug You Until the End," features an EMO hip-hop rhythm and a chorus section that explodes with an emotional rock sound, and the singer vows to protect his loved ones even if everything breaks.

His first solo album contains seven songs, including the title track, "I'll Hug You Until the End," "Best Song," "Love Freezes to Death," "Microphone (Feat. Dvwn)," "want to love you," "Come as You Are," and "Sleep Well, My Love. Young K, who wrote and composed all the songs on the album, collaborated with leading writers such as Hong Jisang, HotSauce, Jeon Dasol, and Junjae to enhance the musical perfection.

In a teaser video ahead of his solo debut, Young K said, "From the day I didn't exist, I sang, and I'll sing until the day I don't exist, sometimes together, sometimes alone. Everything is me singing. For the world to hear my every moment, for my every story to fill the world with its fullness, I sing. For eternity," he says of the meaning of his first solo album, "Eternal," which he wrote himself. His solid sincerity in his new music will resonate deeply with listeners in some way, shape, or form, touching their lives, their daily lives, and their eternity.
