Only Pentagon can handle the mini 6th album [Positive]

In April 2018, Pentagon will take another leap forward with the mini 6th album [Positive].

Pentagon, who were recognized for their songwriting abilities through Mini Album 4 [DEMO_01] and Mini Album 5 [DEMO_02], which were filled with all self-composed songs, this time, they try various musical changes and achieve another growth.

The mini 6th album [Positive] is an album that deepens the colors that only Pentagon can handle from the music that Pentagon has been digesting widely, such as hip-hop, EDM, and R&B, and gives a glimpse of the members' capabilities that are steadily improving not only in songwriting and composition, but also in vocals, rap, and performance.

The title track, "Shine," is also a self-written song by Hui, who has solidified his position as Pentagon's leader and composer, and was composed by production team Flow Blow and member Ethan, who have already proven their perfect chemistry with Hui through Wanna One's "Energetic" and "NEVER," to enhance the song's perfection.

"Shine" is a song about unrequited love, where you love someone so much that you can't bring yourself to confess it, and it has a hopeful message about finding your own love in the end. In particular, the straightforward lyrics such as 'I'm a nerd who loves you' and 'I'm a leech to you' and the addictive hook make it easy for anyone to relate to and enjoy, and it is a pleasant and bright song with a piano main riff and minimalist rhythm that deviates from Pentagon's previous musical colors.

The first track, "OFF-ROAD," is a self-written song by member Kino, who likens the word "off-road" to youth finding themselves in an imperfect state. The rough track and shouting melody are complemented by lyrics that aim to give hope to the youth living in this era. The third track, "Think," is a self-written song by member Jinho that expresses the feelings of a man who thinks of his beloved lover without even trying, with cute lyrics and melody. The sweet and relaxing feeling that awakens the dormant love cells is perfect for spring. The fourth track, "It'll be fun (Rap unit)," is a rap unit song featuring the fun and witty raps of Pentagon's rappers Ethan, Yuto, and Woosuk. The three members' colorful and sometimes weighty charms stand out against the heavy, understated beat. Especially this time, member Ethan also participated in the arrangement, enhancing the song's completeness. The fifth track, "I Can't Help But Let Go," is a lyrical ballad that tells the story of a man who is forced to let go of his beloved. The lyrics, about a man who tells his lover to be happy and to get along, but doesn't want to imagine her being happy without him, will resonate with anyone who has ever experienced a breakup. The final track, "Let's Go Together," is a song that sends a message to anyone who is going through a tough time in the world that everything will be okay in the end.

'Pentagon' has been showing incredible growth with each album. We look forward to the positive changes that will come to Pentagon with [Positive], a mini 6th album that only Pentagon can digest.
