    <THE SECRET

Something is incomplete. Her expression is more like a question mark than an exclamation point, her eyes seem to hold dozens of words, and she exudes a mysterious atmosphere that cannot be fathomed. The mysterious image of a character who rarely shows emotion, or "girl," is soon revealed to be a "secret" moment. WJSN's second mini album "THE SECRET" is filled with a mysterious atmosphere that seems to have popped out of a scene from a fantasy romance movie. Whereas their debut song "Momomo" depicted a young first love, the title track "The Secret" sings about the longing of unrequited love. It is an extension of the story of the secret girls.

WJSN, who reorganized into a 13-member group with the addition of Yoo Yeon-jung, revealed their worldview in earnest through this album. They present a unique direction with a composition that cannot be categorized as cute, sexy, or simply a concept series. The music video, fashion, and artwork fit together like a puzzle, with each member having their own story to tell, just as the music dresses them up. In addition, the mysterious riddle promotion added to the fun.

The title track "It's a Secret" is a medium dance song based on shuffle rhythm and customized based on the image of a space girl. The song is about a shy girl who falls in love with the keyword "secret," and it has a dense and full sound with a music box theme in the intro and electric guitars, synths, and strings. Hit songwriter E.One wrote the lyrics and composed the music, and Sinsadonghorangi arranged the arrangement. In addition, the songs are filled with wacky imaginations and realistic stories of young girls who can relate to them. Songs such as "Bebe," a unique genre of electro-trap, "Cosmic Kiss Me," which captures the pure and lovely feelings of girls, and "Robot," which features the wit of Giriboy, exude various charms. The final song, "Bunk Bed," is a reality song about the members' daily lives, including their uncertain future, the family that protected them, and the family that became another family.

The use of motifs from anime and movies on the members' images is the core of this theme album. The tightness of the composition in the music video for "Secret" is also a clear indication of the album's character. Whereas the debut song "Momomo" was an anthem of clear-eyed girls, this song shows a densely packed blueprint within the same skeleton. The emotional lines are more delicate and youthful. The song's heavenly vocals, synth-pop, and fantasy elements that move between virtual and real life evoke the more secretive love of innocent girls. By combining the unknown world of 'space' and the innocent image of 'girl', the team's colors become clearer and clearer, and it becomes clear that it is the style of a space girl. The process of unraveling it is the growing up of girls who are serious but not heavy and endlessly curious between fantasy, reality and fiction. The music video, which conveys a clear message while intertwining secrets, mysteries, innocence, confessions, and constellations, was directed by Fantasy Lab's Kim Jiyong, who has worked on WINNER's "Baby Baby" and IU's "Hold Me". It is a fictionalized animated setting that depicts the dreams, adventures, and love of a space girl.

Space Girl is a new type of girl pop that reorganizes fantasy and mystery elements to present a unique girl code. The girls who seem to know each other only after a long time, and the space girls who revealed a new world by adding subcultural tastes, will deliver another 'girls fantasy'.
