It has been about seven months since I migrated the store to WooCommerce.
WordPress originally started as a blogging platform, so I decided to make use of that aspect as well and leave some personal notes here.
At first, I considered writing product reviews, but since there are already plenty of those, I chose instead to write about things that can only come from actual experience selling K-pop albums.
I first started selling K-pop albums back in 2008, through eBay & amazon, as far as I can remember.
At the time, K-pop was nowhere near as globally popular as it is today, and I wasn’t a dedicated K-pop seller. I simply handled albums alongside other products I was selling.
To be honest, I wasn’t sure how popular K-pop really was overseas back then, and I had my doubts about whether it would sell well at all.
Those doubts didn’t last long. The demand quickly proved to be far greater than I had expected.
BIGBANG, Girls’ Generation, Super Junior, and 2NE1 were the main titles at the time, and their albums soon became my bestsellers, regardless of region.
