UAU’s debut album, mini album ‘Playlist #You Are You’

The group name UAU was created by taking one letter from each of the three members’ names, Jiyu, Sua, and Yoohyun. As a homophone of the English sentence “You Are You,” UAU also has a direct meaning of “You Are You. It also means that UAU wants listeners to spend time being ‘me’ with their music and feel comfortable and free to face themselves.

The album ‘Playlist #You Are You’ consists of four tracks. ‘Sacrifice’ is a song that expresses the small regret in the back of the mind while wishing for infinite sacrifice from a lover. ‘2 Months’, a double title track about two months with a lover and a question mark over your feelings, hoping that your lover will keep pace with you. “Attitude” is a double title track that expresses the desire to change into a confident person, leaving behind the past self who couldn’t find a single favorite thing. From “Good Luck,” which conveys support for the person she once loved, even though nothing was right, to the future. Through “Playlist #You Are You,” you can meet various stories and aspects of YooAyu’s life.

All of the tracks on the album are accompanied by video content that captures the various aspects of Jiyu, Sooah, and Yoohyun. The album’s name, “Playlist #You Are You,” conveys the message that listeners can enjoy UAU’s music as their own personalized “playlist” and have a happy time in their daily lives.
