KISS OF LIFE 4th Mini Album [224]

KISS OF LIFE 4th Mini Album “224” Released

– KISS OF LIFE returns with their new album [224] after about 8 months.

– Seven tracks conveying messages of freedom gained through oppression, liberation, and self-awareness.

– Another bold transformation with the R&B hip-hop title track “Lips Hips Kiss.”

Following their previous mini-album [Lose Yourself], KISS OF LIFE returns with their fourth mini-album [224] after approximately 8 months. Through their previous work, KISS OF LIFE solidified their unique style with the title track “Get Loud” and the track “Igloo,” which charted on domestic and international music charts and sparked significant attention. On global streaming platforms like Spotify, they showed their strong presence by ranking high in Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and other Asian countries. The Igloo Challenge trend that spread on social media also proved their popularity once again.

Additionally, successfully concluding their first world tour [KISS ROAD] and directly interacting with fans worldwide served as a pivotal moment in the group’s growth. The musical depth and maturity cultivated during this journey naturally permeate the entire album, resulting in a more refined and polished final product.

“Today, Tomorrow, Forever”

KISS OF LIFE’s fourth mini-album [224] captures the narrative of a person’s self moving from oppression to liberation through the flow of time, “today, tomorrow, and forever.” This goes beyond the simple flow of time, representing a journey to find one’s true self through self-awareness, as well as a message to those who live without awareness of their true selves.

The song “Today” in the album symbolizes a state of oppression under the gaze and rules of others, “Tomorrow” symbolizes the moment of self-awareness gained through questioning oneself and struggle, and “Forever” symbolizes liberation at the end of that self-awareness, or the self that has regained its true self. Ultimately, “forever” in the album goes beyond the meaning of time and signifies the complete “self” that chooses and lives fully.

The album’s visuals begin with a story about “dulled senses.” They capture our blurred emotions and thoughts in our repetitive daily lives. Although our lives may seem to conform to predetermined rules and patterns, the visuals highlight our struggles to ask ourselves questions such as “Who am I?” and “How should I live?” and to find answers. Ultimately, the message conveyed is that the eternal “self” is not something obtained through someone or something else, but something that must be achieved through one’s own efforts, and the process of doing so is depicted.

KISS OF LIFE, who have carved out their own path with distinct concepts and diverse genres in each album, will continue their journey and unveil a new charm in the [224] album. Featuring seven tracks across diverse genres—including the feminine R&B hip-hop title track ‘Lips Hips Kiss,’ disco, and acoustic ballads—this album is poised to captivate both the general public and fans once again.
