This is IU’s first full-length album, and it contains a lot of bright and dynamic music. In addition, IU painted the colorful aspects of love through the eyes of a teenage girl in her own way of expression. IU’s album, which contains 16 songs in total, seems to depict the unfolding process of love.

From the moment of “looking” at a crush from a distance, afraid of being rejected for confessing unnecessarily, to the moment of “facing” when the crush becomes a reality in front of you and you rejoice at the heartwarming encounter, IU captures the growth of love with a girlish sensibility.

The song captures the growth of love with a girlish sensibility. The title track “Boo” is an up-tempo song that adds a modern sophistication to the cute 80s bogo sound, and is the work of hit composer Han Sang-won, who is synonymous with sensual melodies such as V.O.S. Park Ji-heon’s “When I miss you” and One Direction’s “Don’t go, don’t go, don’t go”. “Boo,” aka “heart dance,” is a word often seen in American comic magazines and is an onomatopoeic word used to tease someone, but in this song, it has a slang meaning of “cool opposite sex friend.”

In addition, the album embodies a variety of genres, including ballads such as “Poor” and “Ugly Duckling,” which showcase IU’s lyrical voice, as well as reggae-inspired music such as “A Dreamer” and “You know,” which were nominated for the title track in modern rock.
