CRAVITY Dare to Crave 0 Version 2nd Album

Since their debut in 2020, CRAVITY has proven their steady growth and maturity through solid performances and teamwork. With their second full-length album, Dare to Crave, they depict the inner struggles of boys caught between escape and confrontation. CRAVITY has proven themselves over the years. Performance, teamwork, achievements, and narrative. They have now reached the stage where they are ready to reveal the voice beyond the surface. This album is a decisive chapter where Crave faces their own inner selves and sings about the desires that bloom from there.

The moment called desire, and their true story

Anxiety, rejection, and the courage to express desire. There are times when we don’t even know what we want. But one thing is clear: it’s time to let go of whatever is weighing on our hearts. Crave’s second full-length album, “Dare to Crave,” is about that timing. The meaning behind Crave’s new team name is “Crave” and “Gravity.” It conveys the message that the force that draws us together like gravity, and the desire that sprouts within it, ultimately shapes who we are today. Instead of “desire,” they use “attraction,” and instead of “impulse,” they use “movement.” This is Crave’s most contemporary record, capturing that very moment.

SET, NET, G0?! The instinctive start of youth

The title track “SET NET G0?!” is another leap forward from their previous works. The progression is fast and straightforward. The bass and synth sounds, along with the drops, mirror the emotional twists and turns amidst the recurring chaos. At my own rhythm, at my own pace. This song speaks less of a desire to “achieve” something and more of an attitude of “never stopping.” It is also a sensory declaration of those who have chosen to race forward between hesitation and intuition. Even if you don’t know where you’re heading, the desire to move rather than stay still comes first. “SET NET G0?!” is a track that pushes you to run without hesitation.

A narrative completed by the members’ self-portraits and self-composed songs

This album contains not my words, but our words. All nine members participated in the lyrics, and some even took on the composition. For the first time in CRAVITY, a unit structure was introduced, and the three unit tracks depict unique inner worlds beneath the façade of “the same team.” “Rendez-vous,” produced by Woo Bin, depicts a meeting that awakens blurred senses; “Marionette,” Seo Rim’s first self-composed song, explores the density and direction of relationships; and “Wish Upon A Star,” composed by Won Jin, carefully portrays the promise at the end of waiting. Each song has a different color and texture of words. And the album proves that these differences can be united as one. This is a new expansion in the sense of being both a team and a combination of individual artists.

The music video is set in a post-apocalyptic future, telling the story of boys living in a time that repeats like a loop. Amidst the repetition of daily life, unfamiliar cracks and tremors of emotion spread, poetically capturing the “moment of irresistible attraction” that Craveity faces.

A time of proof, and a moment of expansion

Cravity has left a meaningful mark in a short time since their debut. They swept the rookie awards upon their debut and won the final of “Road to Kingdom: ACE OF ACE.” Now, it is not about proof but about progression. “Dare to Crave” is a milestone built upon those achievements. With solid teamwork, mature storytelling, and the flow of emotions they have written themselves, Crave has evolved beyond being a “growing idol group” to becoming a “meaningful team.” Now is the time for a “leap forward.”

The new self encountered at the end of desire

‘Dare to Crave’ is an album that is both a struggle not to turn away from oneself and an honest expression of the complex emotions within. It does not forcefully bind the tangled emotions. Anxiety, impulse, avoidance, excitement, tension. All these emotions are laid bare without hiding, making it more vivid and honest. The courage to move forward amid chaos, the attitude to crack the monotony of daily life, and the name of youth daring to dream. That desire is as strong as gravity. Now, Crave has prepared to soar with that power.
