At the young age of fifteen, IU showed her perfect song interpretation and vocal ability with her debut ballad "Mia," and with the title track "Boo," she transformed into a lively image that was 180 degrees different from her previous album, appealing to the youthful sensibilities of teenagers, and with the follow-up song "You Know," she showed her bright and cute girl diva side and showed her expressive ability to handle any genre.

The second mini album [IU,,,IM], which will once again capture our eyes and ears, contains a total of 7 songs, and is centered on producer and lyricist Choi Keop-won, who has produced all of IU's previous albums, and a team of the best songwriters in Korea, including Kim Do-hoon, Han Sang-won, Lee Jong-hoon, and Min Woong-sik, who have delivered high-quality works.

The title of the album, "IU...IM," literally means "IU...I," which means that IU will directly convey the emotions and thoughts that she sees, hears, and feels through her songs, and will showcase the vivacious yet pure emotions of a seventeen-year-old girl through this album. The title track, "Marshmallow," is a song based on the '60s rock 'n' roll and adds the trendiness of 'French pop,' which is currently trending worldwide, and it has a retro sound and modern sensibility at the same time. Kim Do-hoon and Park Soo-jong, two of Korea's top producers and composers, wrote and presented the song exclusively for IU. "Marshmallow" was written by the album's producer and lyricist Choi Keop-won, who has produced numerous hits. IU, who showed her innocent cuteness with "Boo" in the first half of the year, took her cute side to the next level with "Marshmallow" and showed her matured femininity.

In addition, "Love attack," a confident girl's attack that asks her to love her first without being shy, "Ride the Train," which shows a deeper emotion, "Morning Tears," which resonates with a wistful and sad vocal, and "Exciting Date," which asks what IU's dream date feels like, are all complete songs that cannot be missed.
